Police Are Thinking About Filing Charges On Erykah Badu For "Window Seat"!! (Video)

by Simply Veronica D.

Police in Texas are investigating whether to charge the singer with indecent exposure for her “Window Seat” video. While some people call it art and others call it freedom of expression, police are calling it a crime. According to NBC affiliate, Dallas KXAS while police were not on the scene, if one witness comes forward to police, she can be charged with indecent exposure.
The video was shot March 17 in Dallas at Dealey Plaza where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The racy video shows Badu parking a car and slowly walking to the assassination spot stripping away her clothes. Bystanders including children are seen in the video as the singer strips completely naked before a gunshot sounds and she falls to the ground with the words “groupthink” pouring out of her head. The misdemeanor carries a maximum fine of $4,000 and up to one year in jail. She continues to defend her video and recently took to her Twitter to say,
“I expected the gossip blog sites to spin it negatively . i expected people to ride with me. I’ve been punished AND rewarded enough times by love and life to dedicate the whole thing to EVOLVING . i am happy.”-Hip Hop Wired

She pushed the envelope with great meaning behind it, its not like porn in the street its was simply expressing emotions by stripping herself of all the unnecessaries wether it be emotionally or in life itself. I understand the kids were there so maybe she should have done this when they weren’t lol. But other than that to me its a Erykah Badu masterpiece ..think about it, who would actually say and feel what they say as themselves in all ways other than her. She’s pure talent and emotion in one! Hope they dont take it that far we have seen far more worse on the street before…its not that serious!-NiqueNYC
