During his second major league game in 2006 against the Atlanta Braves, Kemp stole second base, prompting TV announcer Don Sutton to say Kemp looked like “a big buffalo running around the bases” – and a nickname was born.

Number 27 has his own Bobblehead doll that stars in the online video The Adventures of Lil’ Matt with a cameo by Snoop Dogg, who holds the Kemp doll in the palm of his hand and promises to write the Dodgers a new theme song if they win the championship.
